The ever growing Edgemere Team are keen equestrian enthusiasts and have experience with horses both with stable management and riding. A broad spectrum of competition experience helps us to offer a unique and diverse service to our customers. With us all owning horses we have tried and tested all of the products we stock and supply.
Tony is one of the Edgemere Directors. With many strings to his bow. Tony is a very well thought of trainer through Dressage, Show Jumping and Eventing. Training his pupils up to top level competitions, such as Badminton Horse Trials, Advanced Dressage and Grand Prix Show Jumping. Tony’s days are also filled with Saddle Fitting. Tony’s horse knowledge in the saddle and supplier training has helped him match horses and riders to their perfect saddles. In the saddle Tony has competed to a high level across all activities. With his true passion being in Show Jumping. With a yard full of Show Jumping horses, Tony is often competing through out the UK and Europe. Having competed with great success at many prestigious shows, such as Horse of the Year Show, Scope Festival of Show Jumping, Bolesworth International and Oliva Nova.
Paul is another Edgemere Director. Growing up with a passion for all animals, especially Horses. Both Paul and Tony were the founders of Edgemere and have worked hard to create the Saddlery both online and In store. Previous to Edgemere, Paul has run his own competition and livery yard. Providing him with a wealth of experience. Enabling him to cater for the needs of his clients from pleasure riders through to top end competition riders. Paul can be seen pictured with his two children who have both ridden as children. Paul had paused his riding for over ten years and has recently taken the reins back up on his new horse Learoy. He is hoping to start competing again in the near future. In the more recent years, Paul has ventured into a new avenue of business known as ‘Wilcox at Edgemere’ with colleague Alex Wilcox. This side of the business is the hire, sales and servicing of Lorries and Trailers. Now the largest trailer hire company in the UK. Edgemere is fast becoming a one stop shop for all of your Equestrian needs.
Tom is the Office manager for the Equestrian Shop. Running the online, in store and trade stand side of the business. The equestrian industry is a fast growing market with more technology and innovations coming through. Our aim as a business is to help our customers find the products to help them and their horses. Tom works with Tony and enjoys competing his horses in Show Jumping competitions. Juggling horses and his office job. Tom understands the importance of time saving technologies and is happy to help and offer his assistance where ever he can.
Gill has worked with Edgemere from the very start back in 2003. Helping to build the business locally, nationally and internationally. With over 40 years experience through out the equestrian industry. Gill has run her own competition and training yard as well as competing in top level Show Jumping competitions. Gills main passion is Show Jumping. Having won the Young Riders Final of the North and competed young horses through the grades and was often seen on the County Circuit. Working hard at home was essential to fund her Show Jumping Passion. Therefore Gill has experience breaking and training Race horses as well as schooling problem or difficult horses. A keen animal lover, Gill has now hung up her riding boots and spoils her dogs with all of her attention.
Sacha studied at the Oxford Media and Business School and the Royal Agricultural College in Cirencester. This was followed by working and riding on a busy eventing yard. Sacha’s equestrian passion is Eventing. When she is not working in the Edgemere office she can be found competing or training her special horse Bean (as pictured above). Sacha has competed with success up to Intermediate and CCI* level Eventing with aims to progress further in the coming years. Helping with the daily running of Edgemere. Sacha is our International shipping specialist and fashion guru for our clothing ranges.
Rebecca is an inaugural member of the Edgemere team. Heading the accounts department and keeping all of our systems and paperwork up to date and running smoothly. As the Edgemere business continues to grow in several directions. Rebecca’s friendly, organised and professional approach ensures all of the cogs keep turning. Originating from New Zealand Rebecca enjoys flying home to see family and friends. When Rebecca is not working, she is often spending time with her two sons and her dog, Milo. Rebecca enjoys wearing her Ariat boots, as well as her Pikeur and Joules Clothing.
Amy works in the accounts department at Edgemere. The ray of sunshine through out the office is always helpful to fellow staff members and customers alike. Whilst growing up, Amy had her own Pony, Piccolo and enjoyed riding and caring for her special friend. Amy’s childhood was filled with fun rides and Gymkhana games. Pictured with her, is her boyfriend Ben Corbett, from Corbetts Feed Merchants. Corbetts is situated just around the corner from Edgemere. Allowing you to purchase your horses, bedding, feed and hay a long with all of yours and your horses saddlery equipment all in one place.
Laura plays a diverse role at Edgemere and is very much a Jack of all trades and makes herself the master of all of them. Starting in the Lorry and Trailer side of the business and recently transferring across to work for Edgemere. Laura now plays an important role in website maintenance and assisting customers in the shop. As you can see from the picture Laura has travelled the world with her musical talents. A keen musician with an Equestrian back ground having worked in stables in Spain and in the UK. Helping to teach clients to ride and train the horses.
