Charles Owen APM Helmet

A specialist product whose design has been led by the legendary Champion Jockey AP McCoy. The harness is made of the softest leather and is perforated for breathability and to combat sweat build up. The harness has been widened to increase protection of the facial area which incorporates protective impact absorbing padding, whilst still retaining a slim line appearance. The harness at the nape of the neck has been dropped lower down but not far enough to interfere with the position of the head and neck. This section also contains an impact absorbent panel to BETA Level 1 Body Protector Standard. The APM is ventilated with four small discreet apertures. Fitted with a supersoft headband for comfort and softness against the forehead.
It is now filtering its way through to the Point - to - point riders and is also worn by eventers.

Charles Owen Classic Beagler Hat

The Charles Owen Beagle Cap is a traditional velvet covered hunting hat. It offers a classical profile and an elegant appearance. Beautiful close fitting traditional hat covered with French velvet, suitable for In-hand showing as it offers no protection. This is a taller shape than the Beagler. Not designed for riding.

Charles Owen Gr8 Hat

The GR8 hat (As worn by Sophie Broome, Pony European Team Gold medalist and individual Bronze, and Natasha Sewell. Also Anne Kursinski, USA) from Charles Owen is at the cutting edge of Equestrian Fashion. The low profile helmet is covered with a microfibre suede material and is available in a variety of colours and colour combinations. There is a combination to suit all skin and hair colourings - and wardrobes. The ultimate in accessorising for the fashion conscious rider.

The surface material has been treated to afford it protection against marking and scuffing. A water repellent cover will also be available for winter wear.

The brim is gently rounded to flatter the face, and a press stamped metallic logo is positioned centrally above the peak. Another embroidered logo features on the back of the helmet where a ribbon would traditionally be.

The Harness is co-ordinated to the specific colours within the range to give a complete finished look and reinforced with nylon for additional strength, safety and security.

The supersoft headband inside the hat is grey to tone in with the soft colour options that are available.

Charles Owen H2000 Hat

The H2000 is slightly higher in the crown compared to the Charles Owen Showjumper XP. It is very popular with the showing market due to it's elegant appearance.  Also worn by top Paralympic Dressage rider Lee Pearson.

Charles Owen J3 Helmet

Designed and manufactured due to popular demand from all spheres, Launched at BETA 2001. This helmet has the lowest profile and a unique snug-fitting suede harness made from the softest leather. The harness extends to the nape of the neck providing a snug and secure fit. The Charles Owen name is inscribed across it, and and easy relaease/quick fasten, black plastic clip is situated on the left hand side. A supersoft headband ensure comfort in all conditions. The J3 now has reinforced ventilation holes.  The J3 comes with its own matt black silk, which is embroidered with the Charles Owen logo.

Charles Owen Pro-racing skull

The Pro is slim, deep fitting and tailored to the rigours of competitive riding. The front of the helmet has been sculpted into a slight upward curve to avoid any interference with the line of vision. It offers superior protection to the Temporal Lobe area of the head, and has an increased Bottom Edge protection. The helmet has a narrow, soft, padded black leather harness made from water and grease resistant leather. The lacing adjustment at the nape of the neck allows for a snug individual fit.

Charles Owen have incorporated an energy absorbing peak into their popular hat range, making it safer than most jockey skulls. This technological breakthrough has enabled riders to retain a smart and traditional appearance, whilst remaining safe. The beliefs of many peak loving traditionalists have been confirmed! The Showjumper XP has a slightly lower profile than previously with a shallower peak yet retains the classical deep fit with a soft edged leather harness.

John Whitaker Riding Hat 1

The John Whitaker Signature Hat is tested to ASTMF116300 and BSEN 1384 1997 and carries the requested BSI Kite mark. Manufactured in the UK by Charles Owen.  It has a coolmax lining with a Carbon fibre reinforced shell covered with fine Italian velvet. John Whitaker Riding Hat 2

The John Whitaker Riding Hat II is designed by John himself it’s very lightweight and has a low profile. This hat is ventilated and lined with Coolmax mesh, a supersoft headband made from an advanced material inside the helmet adds extra soft comfort.

Reflective piping above a short, squared peak adds to the stylish appearance of this hat. Covered in water repellent microfibre suede. Meets BSEN 1384 1997 and is Manufactured in the UK by Charles Owen.

Charles Owen Ultralight Body Protector

Advances in foam technology have led to the introduction of a lighter material, which has been used in the UltraLite Body Pro. This can be clearly identified by the white label on the inside of the garment. It also sports the new Medical Card Holder which was added to the Body Protector + for BETA 2003. The medical card fastens in place in 2 different positions, either on diplay or not. The UltraLite has the extra security of the elasticated belt clip which fastens around the waist.
