There are no FAQ's for Haybar Full
The Hay Bar offers a practical solution to being able to provide hay/haylage in the stable so you feed as nature intended which is better for your horses and easier for you. The Hay Bar is safer than using hay nets or hay racks and is easy to fill thereby saving time and labour. The hay bar is made from extremely durable high density polyethylene with a reinforced top edge, it is rust and rot proof and should give you many years of trouble free service.
The Hay Bar stands about 3 feet of the floor; the top edge takes about 30” of wall space, 20” of floor space and is designed to take a full bale of hay at a time. It is very important to feed in the natural feeding position to ensure that the jaw has the correct alignment which ensures even wear on the teeth and as a result helps to avoid many of the dental problems. The correct position aids the respiration as the airways and the sinuses drain down.
The natural posture also helps the back muscles and helps youngstock to develop correctly. The feeding position also stops ugly muscle from developing under the neck and helps to form a correct top line, which in turn helps the horse to work in the correct outline. Horses in their natural environment are grazing animals and it is imperative that we simulate these conditions for the stabled horse.
Dry hay, soaked hay and haylage are all suitable and if you feed soaked hay just fit your Hay Bar an inch or an inch and a half above the floor and then the excess moisture will drain away.
